Response of Soil Aggregate Stability to Phosphorus, Nitrogen, and Organic Fertilizer Addition: A Meta-Analysis

چکیده

Soil is a highly significant resource for human survival, and agglomerates, as the basic unit of soil structure, not only enhance fertility control biological validity nutrients but also strengthen soil’s erosion resistance. The mass application fertilizers may significantly affect crop growth rational dispensing will be an urgent issue to addressed. Therefore, effect fertilizer on stability water-stable aggregates needs studied under different meteorological conditions draw more general feasible conclusions. Our meta-analysis data from 220 independent observations 56 published studies found that increased mean weight diameter (MWD) by average 18% compared no-fertilizer treatment. Among nitrogen (N), phosphate (P), organic (OM) treatments, treatment had stimulatory MWD (26%). levels, low level phosphorus (<40 kg·ha−1 yr−1), high N (>120 kg·ha−1·yr−1), (<5000 kg·ha−1·yr−1) 19%, 14%, 41%, respectively. Across types land use types, response was positive red soils paddy fields, fertilizer’s than chemical fertilizer. correlation analysis showed rate negatively correlated with pH bulk density (BD) positively carbon (SOC) microbial (MBC). Meanwhile, partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) factors were main affecting aggregates, while secondary physical properties. this study long-term instead better alone, attention should paid influence temperature rainfall in aggregate future.

Phosphorus fractions in soil with a long history of organic waste and mineral fertilizer addition

Bragantia, Campinas, v. 76, n. 1, p.155-166, 2017 AbstrAct: Applications for long periods of organic animal waste as a source of nutrients to crops can contaminate the soil and the surface and subsurface waters. This study aimed to evaluate how the utilization of organic waste, after successive applications, affects P fractions in the soil and consequently environmental contamination. In an exp...

Different responses of soil respiration and its components to nitrogen addition among biomes: a meta-analysis.

Anthropogenic activities have increased nitrogen (N) deposition by threefold to fivefold over the last century, which may considerably affect soil respiration (Rs). Although numerous individual studies and a few meta-analyses have been conducted, it remains controversial as to how N addition affects Rs and its components [i.e., autotrophic (Ra) and heterotrophic respiration (Rh)]. To reconcile ...

Addition of External Organic Carbon and Native Soil Organic Carbon Decomposition: A Meta-Analysis

BACKGROUND Extensive studies have been conducted to evaluate the effect of external organic Carbon on native soil organic carbon (SOC) decomposition. However, the direction and extent of this effect reported by different authors is inconsistent. OBJECTIVE The objective was to provide a synthesis of existing data that comprehensively and quantitatively evaluates how the soil chemical propertie...

Changes in soil organic carbon in croplands subjected to fertilizer management: a global meta-analysis

Cropland soil organic carbon (SOC) is undergoing substantial alterations due to both environmental and anthropogenic changes. Although numerous case studies have been conducted, there remains a lack of quantification of the consequences of such environmental and anthropogenic changes on the SOC sequestration across global agricultural systems. Here, we conducted a global meta-analysis of SOC ch...
